Privacy policy

The privacy policy (the "Policy") applies to you (the "User", "you", and "your"), if you use our platform, as a registered User or non-registered User. It describes how we and some of our trusted partners collect, use, and disclose your protected personal data in connection with the Platform. Protected personal data means any information that you provide to us that personally identifies any individual or organization, such as your name, email address, or any other data that can reasonably be linked to such information ("Personal Data"). This privacy policy also describes your rights to access and control your Personal Data.

By using our Platform, you agree to the collection and use of your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Personal Data you provide to us
Before you can access our Platform, we will ask you for personal information such as your contact information and personal details (name, address, email, phone number, etc.). During your relationship with Treasure Hunters, you may contact us by email, phone, or in writing. We will retain this information to supplement the information we already have. We may also supplement any information you provide with information from third parties, such as social networks (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and others). This information will also be retained by us and kept confidential in your personal data file.

Information collected automatically
We collect:
• connection information (e.g., IP address, number, and times of visits to the Platform by users)
• analytical information
We use third-party analytics tools (mainly Google Analytics) to help us measure traffic and usage trends for the Platform. These tools collect information sent by your devices or our Platform, including the web pages you visit, add-ons, and other information that helps us improve the Platform. We collect and use this analytics information with analytics information from other users, so it cannot reasonably be used to identify any particular individual user.

In general, your Personal Data processed by us is collected by Treasure Hunters through the Platform or by email. We may also have access to Personal Data provided by third-party partners, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, or your Gmail account, if you create your Treasure Hunters account using these services.

In general, we process and store your Personal Data on our own servers. We may also store your Personal Data on a server located in the European Union or elsewhere in the world. By agreeing to this Policy, you expressly agree and consent that your Personal Data may be processed and stored on servers located outside Switzerland, including any country that does not have the same data protection laws as Switzerland.

In addition to the specific uses of information described in this Privacy Policy, we may use the information we collect to:
• identify Users and ensure you are eligible to use the service you have requested and that our Platform is used appropriately;
• operate, maintain, protect, and improve the Platform, develop new services, and protect ourselves and our other users;
• offer tailored content, which may include online ads and other forms of marketing;
• display metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns;
• diagnose or fix any technology problems you encounter;
• store information so you do not have to enter it again during your visit or the next time you visit the Platform.

Except as otherwise provided in this Policy, Treasure Hunters will share your Personal Data only with your consent and under the following conditions.

Personal Data collected from visitors
Personal Data from visitors is kept confidential and is not shared except for authorized use (as described below).

Personal Data collected from Investors
We collect certain Personal Data from Investors, such as first and last names, address, date of birth, etc.

Permission for use of all Personal Data
• Treasure Hunters may share your Personal Data with service providers (e.g., payment processing, cloud service providers). Our service providers will have access to your Personal Data to the extent necessary to provide their services to the Platform under reasonable confidentiality conditions.
• If it is necessary under the law to do so or if we reasonably believe that such disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law or to respond to a court order or to protect the rights and interests of Treasure Hunters.
• If Treasure Hunters is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, we will continue to ensure the confidentiality of all Personal Data and give affected Users notice before Personal Data is transferred or becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

In general, your Personal Data is stored as long as your Treasure Hunters profile is active. Following the closure or deactivation of your account, we may retain your Personal Data for a commercially reasonable period for backup, archival, audit, or other commercially reasonable purposes. Personal Data collected during your visit to our Platform (e.g., log files, IP addresses, etc.) is generally stored for a period of 6 months. In any case, we reserve the right to retain for an unlimited period information derived from your Personal Data in a manner that no longer identifies you (pseudonymous or anonymous data).

We use commercially reasonable measures to keep the information collected through the Platform secure and take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting you access to your account. However, Treasure Hunters cannot ensure the security of any information you transmit to Treasure Hunters or guarantee that information cannot be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.

Whenever you use the Platform, we aim to provide you with access to the Personal Data we control. If this information is inaccurate, we strive to give you ways to update it quickly or to delete it or to make it anonymous – unless we need to keep that information for legitimate business or legal purposes. When you update your Personal Data, we may ask you to verify your identity before we can process your request. We may reject requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort (for example, developing a new system or changing fundamentally existing practices), risk the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical.

Your access and use of the Platform are governed by the version of this Privacy Policy in effect at the time of access and use. We may modify the Privacy Policy at any time and without prior notice. If we revise it, at our sole discretion, we will notify you. You acknowledge that by accessing the Platform after we have made changes to the Privacy Policy, you accept the terms and conditions of this modified Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these new terms, please stop using the Platform.
